This is all time favorite of my mom. she loves reading books munching sev....miss u amma.....
Here is the recipe
INGREDIENTS:
Gram flour(Besan)-1 cup
Rice flour-1/2 cup Asefotida- 1/4 tsp
Salt- to taste
Omam(Ajwain)-1tsp
Butter or Hot oil- 1 tbsp
Garlic-2(optional)
Oil -for frying
METHOD:
1)Soak Omam for 1/2 hour in water.
2)Grind omam and garlic to smooth paste and mix with water and filter to get the extract.
3)Mix gram flour and rice flour along with salt .
4)Add the omam extract and mix well.
5)Add Hot oil or Butter and make a dough using enough water.
6)Press it in hot oil using ompodi press.
7)Fry till golden brown.
