I read this recipe in some book.Since the name sounded healthy I tried this last week. It was something like the biscuits they sell in small bakeries in chennai.I felt the sweet was bit less. Other than that i like the taste(Should try using more sugar next time).One of my neighbour said i could add raisins to make the biscuits moist.Will try that soon and update this recipe .
INGREDIENTS:
All purpose flour-1 1/2 cup
Oats-1/4 cup
Sugar-1/4 cup
Baking powder-2tbs
Salt-1/4 tsp
Butter-3 tbs
Milk-2 tbs(approximately)
Vanilla essence-1/2 tsp
METHOD:
1)Preheat the oven to 400 and grease the baking tray.
2)Mix flour,oats,sugar,salt and baking powder.
3)Add butter and mix it to get crumbs.Add vanilla essence and mix well.
4)Add milk and make a firm dough and knead well.
5)On a floured surface roll out the dough to about 1/4 inch thick.
6)Cut into rounds using cookie cutter(i used filter coffee cover).
7)Using a fork prick all over the cookie
8)place them in the baking tray(1 inch apart) and bake for about 12 minutes.Transfer to wire rack to cool.
