RICE PUTTU(SWEET)

Rice puttu ... one way of doing this puttu is using a mould.This is unsweetened puttu.Its served with Kondakadalai(brown chick pea) curry.Other way which i have described here is sweet puttu.

INGREDIENTS:

Rice flour-1cup
Sugar-to taste
Coconut-1/4 cup(grated)
Ghee-2 or 3 tbs
Water -little
Cashew
Elaichi

METHOD:

1)Fry rice flour well in ghee for few minutes.
2)Boil sugar with little water to get one string consistency and cool it.
3)Add little salt(pinch) to water and mix it with rice flour go get crumbs.
4)Steam it for some time.
5)Cool it and crumple it, add grated coconut ,powdered elaichi, roasted cashew.
7)Add sugar syrup .Mix well and sieve it if u want to avoid lumps.
SWEET TASTY RICE PUTTU READY :)
