I know many of them of them in tamil nadu would have tasted it ,but i doubt how many in US knows about this.
Sukku is nothing but sun dried ginger. since we can get (sukku)dry ginger only in indian store(for which i have to travel 1.30 hrs)so i cut ginger to thin pieces and keep it in hot conventional oven(just keep it inside the oven after i complete cooking)and.... i get sukku... simple na ?
Corriander seed-1/2 cup
Pepper- 2 tsp
Elachi(Cardamom)-5 or 6
1) Fry all the ingredients in dry pan.
2)cool and powder it.
This can be stored in air tight container for months.
TO MAKE 1CUP OF COFFEE:
Water-1/2 cup water
Milk 1/2 cup
Jaggery or sugar- to taste
Sukku kaapi powder-1 tbs
1)Boil water and sukku powder.
2)Strain the water add boiled milk and sugar/jaggery
NOTE: IF USING JAGGERY INSTEAD OF SUGAR.. ADD MILK TO JAGGERY AND NOT JAGGERY TO MILK AS IT WILL CURDLE THE MILK.
