Broccoli.. is another wonder veggie that i love most.It is available only in big cities like chennai, that too in few big shops. My dad used to buy this to make soup but i like it better as poriyal :)
Broccoli is high in vitamin C, calcium, fiber,Vitamin K, Vitamin B6, Folate, Potassium, Manganese, Protein, Vitamin E, Thiamine, Riboflavin, Iron, Magnesium, Phosphorus and Selenium .
Broccoli help to detoxify the body and help to prevent cancer, diabetes, heart disease, osteoporosis, and high blood pressure.
And carrot.. of course i don't have to say everyone knows about its nutrition.
INGREDIENTS:
Broccoli-1 flower let
carrot-2
Onion-1
Mustard-for seasoning
Urad-for seasoning
Green chilli-to taste
Garlic-2(chopped)
Turmeric-1 pinch
Salt-to taste
Oil-1tsp
METHOD:
1)Chop garlic, broccoli,carrot, green chilli.
2)Heat oil, splutter mustard, urad .
3)Add onion ,green chilli and garlic and saute.
4)Add carrot ,broccoli , salt and saute for few min , add water and cook.
(i prefer steaming to maintain the nutrients and then add to the onion and saute just a min )
