VARAGARISI HALWA/KESARI

Varagarisi is a type of millet.Normally varagarisi, kudaravali etc are cooked in villages in tamilnadu .I have heard of it .My amma used to say idly made of this will be so tasty but have to be eaten hot hot.I never had chance to taste it. My mother in law brought this from chennai .So i tried Pongal with this and i liked the taste so wanted to do something like kesari/halwa.
I think it is called quinoa here(images looks similar)Any way i was told it is good for health particularly BP and sugar.
INGREDIENTS:(approximate measurements)
Varagarisi-1 cup
Light brown sugar-1 cup
Water-2 cups
Ghee-1/2 cup
Cardamom
Nuts
METHOD:
1)Cook varagarisi in water.
2)Add sugar , cardamom,nuts.cook well.
3)Add ghee little by little and cook till it comes from sides of the pan.
Serve.
