Sapotta/chikku /Zapota/Sapodilla, call it by any name but super duper delicious sweet fruit that's rich in vitamins like A and C,minerals like pottasium,iron etc and antioxidant tannins.umm... not to forget its fiber :)
I love this fruit for its taste ... its sweet and sort of ...ummm.. what to say sort of different.Its a good combination with milk that's why Sapota /chikku milk shake is very famous in Chennai.Specially one made with Adyar sapotta(variety of sapotta in chennai)I was fortunate to go India during the season and had lots of this :)Here is some for you all.
Milk-1 1/2 to 2 cups
Sugar-to taste
Cream 2 tbs(optional)
Ice cubes crushed- few
1)Boil and cool milk.
2)peel the skin of the fruit and remove the seed. and grind it to paste in the blender.
3)Add sugar and crushed ice and milk and mix for a second and top it with cream and serve. or add it to sugar while mixing.
