MACARONI MASALA ......
I don't normally cook pasta items.But when i was cleaning my pantry the other day i saw this packets of macaroni (which we got for my sil's son).So I did this Indian version of macaroni called Macaroni masala ,which i learnt from chellam aunty.To my surprise my husband liked it.I had been thinking that he likes only indian dishes for past 2 years...
INGREDIENTS
Macaroni -1 1/2 cup
Tomato-2
Onion-1
Ginger-small piece
Garlic- 4 or 5
Garam masala-1/2 tsp
Green chilli-4(according to taste)
Chilli powder-1 tsp(according to taste)
Kasturi methi-1 tsp
Cumin seed powder-1/2 tsp
Capsicum- 1 small
Tomato sauce-2 tbs
Butter/ oil- 2 or 3 tbs
Cheese(grated)- 2 or 3 tbs
Salt- to taste
METHOD:
1)Boil macaroni with salt and oil(1 tsp).
2)Drain water and Apply oil and keep aside.
3)Finely chop onion, chilli,capsicum
4)Grind ginger garlic to smooth paste
5)Blanch tomato and extract pulp
6)Heat oil/ butter and fry onion and ginger garlic paste and chopped green chilli.
7)Add kasturi methi, chilli podwer and fry
8)Add capsicum and salt and fry well
9)Add Tomato pulp,cumin seed powder,garam masala,tomato sauce and cooked macaroni and cook for couple of minutes (add little water if necessary)
10)Sprinkle cheese and pour it in a oven proof greased dish
11)Bake in 180 degree pre- heated oven till cheese melts.
Serve garnishing with chopped coriander.

your baked macaroni masala sounds yummy! i like breaking up the traditional recipes to personnalize in my own way too! nice preparation!
