This is very simple snack item like masala(pori) puffed rice.We make this for krishna jayanthi. There is this interesting story that Sudhama, Lord krishna's childhood friend gave him this when he went to see him.
so lets see the recipe.
INGREDIENTS:
Raw Aval(Poha/flattened rice)-1 cup
Pottukadalai(roasted bengal gram)-handful
Peanut-handful
Cashew nut(chopped)-handful
Curry leaves
Salt- to taste
Chilli powder or Pepper powder- 1 tsp(optional)
Oil- to fry
METHOD:
1)Heat oil in a pan and fry raw aval.Remove the excess oil by keeping them on paper towel.
2) Heat little oil in a pan and season with roasted bengal gram, peanut,cashew,curry leaves,pepper powder and salt.
3) Mix these with the fried Aval.
And your tasty evening snack ready.....
