Javarisi(sabudhana) Vathal

I think most of the south indians ,atleast tamilians don't eat without vathal .My favorite is crispy javarisi vathal and arisi(rice) vathal.Though people eat it along with rice, i love to eat it like snacks , just like chips.Specially arisi(rice)vathal ,that we get in island ground exhibition in chennai..ummm...Yummy... even the very thought makes me drooling :)
INGREDIENTS:
Sabudhana/javarisi
Jeera
Green chilli
Salt
Water
METHOD:
1) Soak sabudhana with enough water overnight.
2)Grind green chilli coarsely.
3)Pressure cook sabudhana with enough salt and water.( if u want sabudhana to been seen as small balls when u fry the vathal don't pressure cook but cook well with enough water normally.)
4)Add ground chilli and jeera. Mix well.(They also use lime juice , just a spoon)
5)Using spoon make vathal on wet white cloth(some prefer using plastic sheet...But i Strongly am against using plastic...i feel plastic-heat combination is not good for health)
6)Dry the vathal in sun for a day.
Fry in oil... and your crispy vathal ready ... nsoy..
Next posting will be on Arisi(rice) vathal
