VEGETABLE BONDA



I usually make them when i make vegetable soup using the vegetable which i used for the soup.
Its same as aloo bonda.Instead of potato i use mixed vegetables.

INGREDIENTS:
Beans-1 cup(chopped)
Carrot-1 cup(chopped)
Beetroot-1/2 cup(chopped)
potato-1 cup(chopped)
Peas-1 cup(chopped)
Cauliflower-1 cup(chopped)
Garlic-4(chopped)
Green chilli-2(chopped)
Onion-1(chopped ,opt)
Besan(Bengal gram flour)-2cup
Rice flour-1cup
Soda-bi-carb-1/4 tsp
Ajwine(omam)-1/4 tsp
Khas khas-1tbs
Chilli powder- to taste
Salt-to taste
oil-for frying
Water


METHOD:
1)Chop all the vegetables and Pressure cook(either adding water or without water.The vegetable stock can be used for making soup or rasam)
2)Mix chopped onion, green chilli,garlic,khas khas and salt to boiled vegetables and mash them lightly and make balls.
3)Mix besan, rice flour,soda-bi-carb, chilli powder,salt and ajwine with water to make a batter(like bhajji).
4)Dip these balls in this batter and deep fry.

Serve hot with chutney or sauce.
