Very nutritious tiffin, rich in protein.
INGREDIENTS:
Boiled rice-1cup
Raw rice-1/4 cup
Tur dhal-3/4 cup
Bengal gram-1/4 cup
Urad- 1 handful
Moong dhal-1/4 cup
Red chilli-6(according to taste)
Green chilli-4(according to taste)
Ginger - small chopped
Garlic-4 or 5
Onion-1 chopped
Saunf-1/2 tsp
Salt-according to taste
Asefotida-for seasoning
urad-for seasoning
Bengal gram-for seasoning
Mustard-for seasoning
Curry leaves-for seasoning
Oil
METHOD:
1)Soak rice and Dhal separately for 5-6 hrs.
2) Grind rice and dhal along with green, red chillies,garlic and Saunf coarsely.
3)Heat oil and add mustard,asefotida,urad,bengal gram,onion,ginger and saute till onion turns pink.
4)Add this to the batter along with salt and mix.
5)Make adai(like dosa)
Serve hot with Aviyal .
Note: The consistence of batter should be little thicker than dosa batter.
