This was my mom's speciality. Everyone used to call this pachai cake(she used to use green colour for this burfi)My Mom Used to call it vanilla cake.Very very simple, quick but veryyyyyyyyy tasty sweet.

Maida-1 1/2 cup
Dalda or Ghee-3/4 cup
Sugar-3 cups
Vanilla Essence-few drops

1)Fry maida in ghee or dalda till the colour changes.
2)Make sugar syrup (2 string consistency )
3)Pour the syrup in maida, add essence and mix well.
4)When it starts to thicken (just takes few seconds)pour in greased tray and make slices.

Looks very simple right???
NOTE:Remove the fried maida from fire and then mix the syrup.
