VEGETABLE RAGI IDLY
Finally...as said in my last post(ragi dosai) I tried Idly and it came out so good,so so soft.But the only thing was it doesn't have any particular taste because of ragi .So i just added fried vegetables to make this healthy Idly bit more tastier.I should also mention One more thing ...it tastes good with spicy chutney /sambar.
Ingredients are same as Ragi Dosai
INGREDIENTS:
Ragi flour-3 cups
Urad dhal-1cup
Salt to taste
Water- to grind and mix.
Vegetables
Onion
Green chilli
Ginger
METHOD:
1)Add some water to Ragi(to get thick batter) flour.
2)Soak Urad dhal for 4-5 hours and grind along with Ragi flour adding enough water .
3)Add salt and leave it to ferment.
4)Steam chopped vegetables.(it should be dry)
5)Heat little oil in pan.Add chopped onion, chilli, Ginger,salt and vegetables and saute for couple of minutes.
6)When cool mix it with the idly batter .
7)Grease the idly plate and pour the batter in idly mould and steam for soft idlis
Serve with spicy chutney or sambar.
