Back to blogging after a long gap with a sweet .
When we go to Ooty we can see lots of shops selling home made chocolate(not sure if they do now ...)One of my mom's relative, shantha aunty, said it was very easy to make and taught me this.
After my mom passed away I stopped doing this and after a long gap made this for our anniversary this year. My husband loved it but he felt it was too sweet.
Its very easy to make and also tasty. I feel its a sort of chocolate burfi.
INGREDIENTS:
Milk powder-500gr
Sugar-500gr
Coco powder-1tbs(I added one more tsp as i wanted it bit bitter but still it was sweet)
Water-just to wet sugar
Butter-100 gr
Nuts(optional)
Vanilla essence or chocolate essence- few drops.
METHOD:
1)Mix milk powder and coco well.
2)Add water to sugar.Add butter and boil till two string consistancy.
3)Add the dry powder along with nuts and essence well.
4)Pour in a greased mould or tray to cool.
NOTE:We can also keep cashew or badam and roll it as small balls when its warm.
