Learnt this initially from chellam aunty but since I vaguely remembered the measurements i browsed and found it in some site(i think cook.com) chellam aunty's recipe did not have vanilla essence and salt.Both the recipe have coco in them instead of chocolate mix.Since i didn't have coco i used drinking chocolate mix.
Ingredients:
Milk-1 1/2 cup
Sugar-3tbs(according to taste)
Salt- 1 pinch(with two fingers)
Swiss miss dark chocolate mix(drinking chocolate ) 2 or 2 1/2tbs
Butter-1 tbs
Vanilla essence-optional
Cornstarch-3tbs
Method:
1)Boil milk.
2)Mix all other ingredients to little milk and then mix it with the boiling milk.
3)Cook till thick.
4) Pour in a greased serving dish. let it cool(or keep it in fridge not freezer)
5)Serve with whipped cream as topping.
I did not use cream as i did not have. but tasted good when i had done in chennai using chellam aunty's recipe.
