Kale is a great greens ,healthy and delicious .Sulforaphane in kale help Prevent Cancer , Carotenoids in kale lowers cataract risk. Its an excellent source of Vitamin A,C,E, calcium and fiber.
INGREDIENTS:
Kale -1 bunch
Onion-1small(chopped)
Garlic-2 optional(chopped)
Mustard-seasoning
Urad-seasoning
Redchilli-seasoning
Oil
Salt-taste
METHOD:
1) Wash and chop kale.
2)Heat oil and add mustard,urad, chilli ,garlic (Opt)and onion and saute.
3)Add chopped kale.
4)Add salt and sprinkle little water and cook.
I prefer using garlic with kale as it belongs to cruciferous family like cabbage,cauliflower, brocolli etc ( raffinose in cruciferous vegetables)causes gas.

ReplyDeletecan u plz be clear about the names. because the vegetable is called as kale in US and other ingredients are all indian names.May be wi will add glossary of indian names in my next post. thanks for mentioning these things.
