INGREDIENTS:
Boiled rice(idly rice)-3 cup or can also use Rice flour.
Pottukadalai(roasted bengal gram)-1 cup(powdered)
Salt- to taste
Chilli powder(optional)-to taste(but i prefer without chilli powder)
Oil-for frying
Butter-1tbs
Jeera-1tsp
Yellu(til/sesame)-1tsp
METHOD:
1)Soak rice and grind with chilli(if using) to smooth paste.(if using rice flour omit this step)
2)Mix rice flour with roasted bengal gram powder and salt, jeera,til,butter using enough water to make a dough.
3)Using murukku maker make murukku.fry them in oil .
4)Drain the oil and keep it in airtight container.
