KAMARKAT(coconut milk toffee)


This is my version of tamilnadu's famous ,tasty karmarkat that are sold in small road side shops.To be very frank my sil told me this recipe.. she wasn't sure of the name of the recipe she said it tasted good and also its American chocolate type. I haven't seen or tasted that chocolate. yet i wanted to try that recipe . so i tried and it tasted just like kamarkat , which i used to love when i was a kid.this was bit chewy .Guess i must have cooked for couple of more minutes to get the hard consistency like kamarkat.
INGREDIENTS:
Coconut milk-1cup
Condensed milk-1cup
Coconut scraping-2 tbs(or chopped nuts)
Ghee-1/4-1/2 cup(approximate)
Coco powder-1tsp
METHOD:
1)In a heavy bottomed /non stick pan add coconut milk, condensed milk,coco powder(i used chocolate milk powder and chopped nuts.
2)Cook in medium heat.
3)Add ghee in between and cook till the mixture leaves the sides and comes like a ball.
4)Grease a tray and pour the mixture and cut .
