BADAM POORI(Almond puffed indian bread)

This was my first try. I have heard my cousin Nandhu akka say about this sweet but haven't tasted it.I just remember vaguely what she said. So tried it for this Masi magam. It did taste good. but i don't know if it was how it would look and taste. if some one knew please correct my mistakes.
INGREDIENTS:(all measurements are approximate)
Maida/all purpose flour-1 cup
Badam/almond-12(soaked and ground to paste)
Salt- a pinch
Water- to mix the dough and make syrup
Sugar- to make syrup
Cardamom- 1 tsp(powdered)
Saffron-a pinch
Badam/almond syrup-1 or 2 drops(optional)
Oil - to fry puri
METHOD:
1)Mix flour, salt and badam paste to puri dough
2)Meanwhile make sugar syrup(1 string consistency and add cardamom and saffron. We can add badam syrup too)
3)Heat oil in a pan and fry the poori (do not let it puff up.We can make small holes with a fork to avoid it puffing up)
4)Dip it in the hot syrup for a minute or two and remove .
Serve.
NOTE: If this is not the right recipe or method Please do guide me .Thanks
