WHEAT HALWA

Yesterday one of my neighbour was talking about wheat halwa.the method she told was pretty easy .She said to soak wheat flour in water for an hour and then drain the excess water and cook with sugar and ghee.Isn't it easy......So i wanted to give it a try it immediately. But unfortunately i had very little flour....but after she told me i started to crave for wheat halwa .... so i had to do immediately ,so i decided to try the old way, my mom's way....using wheat milk..i had broken wheat which i used for this.It way bit tough to extract milk but result was ummm....yummy.
INGREDIENTS:
Wheat(broken)-1 cup
Water- to soak
Sugar-1 or 1/2 cup(according to taste)
Food colour-(optional)i did not use.
Ghee-4or5 tbs
Cashew chopped-2tbs
METHOD:
1)Soak wheat in water for 7-8 hours.
2)Grind it into paste using the soaked water and extract the milk.
3)Heat a heavy bottom pan(i don't prefer nonstick)and cook wheat milk and sugar.
4)Add ghee and cook till thick.(it wont stick to the sides of the pan and we can make a ball)
Note:My mom used to add cardamom .
